Absinthe

So, about this.
It's Ilosovic Stayne (Knave of Hearts) and Mirana of Marmoreal (White Queen) from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland film and the two of them are drunk and high on the "Green Fairy", i.e. absinthe - which explains their uncharacteristic cuddling with one another. This idea came from a roleplay moment I had with a fantastic Mirana roleplayer ;w; In short; Mirana holds a party, Stayne sneaks in, they end up getting drunk on absinthe and they're cuddling on a pile of cushions :3 (Apologies for the pathetic excuse called cushions in the background OTL;; ) The whole thing was incredibly fun and lead to another adorable pairing I ship. Lol. Needless to say, you can probably guess what happens when and after they get drunk. The aftermath was pretty hilarious. If anyone's interested - which I doubt - I guess I can share the conversation log xDD
Anyway, so from a sketch that looked like this to a few WIPs I could be bothered to screen shot: 1, 2, 3 and 4, the final result was this drawing here which I'm pretty happy about ;w; It's been a long time since I've put that much effort and worked on a drawing for so long. Ahaha, also had two nights staying up until 4am. Lol. Eh, moving on.
WIP 4 is clearly a big jump to this. Several things fixed. I had originally intended to just submit WIP 4 but when my friend came over and pointed out all the negative parts, we were on the road to improving and perfecting the drawing. XDD Still, it isn't perfect but it's better, much better than before :3 What with the added background, skirt, trousers and fixed fingers etc.
One thing for sure, Mirana's corset took a bloody age! DX;; I almost wanted to give up. Ahaha OTL;; I didn't want to make it too simple or complicated and after glaring at several reference pics and trying all sorts of things, it came out like that - which again, I'm pretty satisfied about :3 Thankfully, I did not give up. After working on this, my style's changed a bit for sure :3 Shading techniques have definitely improved I think, what with re-shading or re-colouring one part over and over to get it right DX;;
Hopefully, I'll be working on more drawings like these over the summer holiday that's begun. Ohohoho, I'll be looking forward to that then. 8D

Also a submission to the contest held at #Stayne-Our-Hearts, titled, "Stayne's Other Half."
The reason I chose Mirana was they seemed pretty adorable and perfect in that roleplay moment I had. So cute~ >w< <3
